Evidence and policy
A journal of research, debate and practice
AIMS AND SCOPE
 |
Evidence & Policy is the first peer-reviewed journal
dedicated to comprehensive and critical treatment of the
relationship between research evidence and the concerns
of policy makers and practitioners. International in scope
and interdisciplinary in focus, it addresses the needs of
those who provide public services, and those who provide
the research base for evaluation and development across
a wide range of social and public policy issues - from social
care to education, from public health to criminal justice.
Institutional subscribers receive free online access.
The journal is published by The Policy Press in association
with the ESRC UK Centre for Evidence Based Policy and Practice
at the School of Social Science and Public Policy, King's
College London. As such, Evidence Network Associates are
entitled to a reduced rate when subscribing to the print
only version of the journal. For information on the discounts
available visit https://www.policypress.org.uk/journals/evidence_policy/default.php?pl=subscribe.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
"Academics and policy makers now have a place to share data,
ideas and arguments about the promises and pitfalls of basing
policy on hard evidence - or even the possibility of doing so.
Evidence & Policy will be a great addition to the international
conversation." Carol Weiss, Harvard University, USA
"Evidence & Policy is a valuable addition to the social
science library. There is nothing quite like it and social scientists
will welcome a journal that addresses questions of methodology,
substance and practice in relation to policy and evidence."
Deborah Brennan, Associate Professor and Chair of Discipline,
Department of Government and International Relations, University
of Sydney, Australia
"This journal provides a much needed forum for the focused
discussion of evidence and policy. Academics and researchers from
around the globe will find it an invaluable resource."
Jon Kvist, Senior Researcher, Danish National Institute of Social
Research
"This is a journal that many researchers, decision makers
and public service providers have been waiting for." Haluk
Soydan, Research Director, Institute for Evidence-based Social
Work Practice, Stockholm, Sweden and Co-Chair of the International
Campbell Collaboration
"This new journal marks an opportunity for research to inform
and influence tomorrow's decisions on social and public policy.
I would therefore urge policy makers, practitioners, academics
and researchers to use this new forum and play their part in the
evidence-based age."
Barbara Doig, Chief Researcher, Scottish Executive
